In the vibrant landscape of Las Vegas, the exterior lighting design for this traditional residential estate was conceived as a seamless extension of the interior’s warmth into the desert night. The core challenge was to provide high-level safety and security without compromising the intimate, resort-like ambiance of the outdoor living spaces. To achieve this, we moved away from conventional floodlighting, opting instead for a custom catenary lighting system that floats over the garden. This overhead "string of light" creates a festive yet sophisticated canopy, providing a rhythmic glow that defines the outdoor social areas while maintaining an unobstructed view of the Nevada sky.

The project’s functional brilliance is further defined by its integrated architectural details, specifically the strategic use of light within the handrail systems. By embedding high-performance LED strips into the deck railings, we created a dual-purpose illumination scheme: it elegantly grazes the building’s facade while simultaneously providing clear, glare-free task lighting for steps and walkways. This "low-level" lighting strategy ensures a high degree of visual comfort and safety for the occupants, guiding their movement across the decks without the need for intrusive poles or bulky fixtures. The result is a harmonious nocturnal environment where traditional architecture is celebrated through modern, discreet, and highly functional lighting engineering.
