GIVING FORM TO THE INVISIBLE:
The fourth dimension of your space

Lighting Design & Consultancy
SCULPTING SPACE WITH LIGHT
Innovative Lighting Solutions
by Ween Lighting Design & Consultancy
Light is more than a utility; it is the silent architect of our environment. At Ween Lighting Design & Consultancy, we believe that true luxury lies in the unseen. By merging our architectural DNA with high-end lighting expertise, we redefine the relationship between space and soul. We don't just illuminate; we sculpt atmospheres where the source remains invisible, and the experience becomes unforgettable.
SERVICES

Phase 01 | Concept Design & Narrative
We begin by defining the "soul" of the space. By analyzing the architecture, materials, and user flow, we develop a visual narrative that establishes the emotional tone and atmospheric layers of the project.

Phase 02 | Schematic Design & Engineering
In this phase, we ground the vision in technical data. We provide:
-
Lighting Layouts: Precise positioning of all architectural light sources.
-
Lighting Calculations: Dialux simulations to ensure optimal lux levels and visual comfort.
-
Control Strategy: Conceptual wiring and zoning drawings to define how the light responds to the user.

Phase 03 | Tender & IFC (Issued for Construction)
We deliver a comprehensive technical package ready for execution. This stage includes:
-
Detailed Technical Drawings: 2D/3D integration details to hide sources and eliminate glare.
-
Lighting Fixture Schedule: A meticulous, brand-independent specification list tailored to the project’s budget and quality.
-
IFC Documentation: Fully coordinated sets that leave no room for error on-site.

Phase 04 | Procurement, Supervision & Commissioning
We stay with the project until the very end. Our consultancy includes:
-
Procurement Support: Evaluating offers and ensuring the right products are sourced.
-
Site Supervision: On-site inspections to oversee correct installation and detailing.
-
Aiming & Commissioning: The final "tuning" of every beam and scene to achieve the perfect atmosphere.

Phase 01 | Climate & Site Analysis
Before a single brick is laid, we analyze the project’s specific geographic location and solar path.
-
Solar Geometry: Understanding how the sun interacts with the building’s orientation.
-
Shading Study: Identifying potential overshadowing from surrounding structures or topography.
-
Contextual Insight: Establishing the baseline for natural light availability throughout the year.

Phase 02 | Massing & Facade Optimization
We work with the architect to shape the building’s envelope to maximize daylight performance.
-
Aperture Analysis: Evaluating window-to-wall ratios to ensure deep light penetration without thermal discomfort.
-
Passive Shading Design: Developing conceptual shading elements (louvers, overhangs) to mitigate solar heat gain.
-
Initial Simulations: Preliminary sDA (Spatial Daylight Autonomy) checks to validate the massing strategy.

Phase 03 | Performance Modeling & Compliance
Using Computational Daylight Modeling (CBDM), we move into high-precision simulations.
-
CBDM Simulations: Calculation of critical metrics like sDA (sufficiency) and ASE (glare/overheating risk).
-
Material & Glazing Specification: Testing different glass types (VLT values) and interior surface reflectances to fine-tune the light behavior.
-
Visual Comfort Analysis: Predicting potential glare issues for occupants and proposing precise solutions.

Phase 04 | Integrated Control & Validation
The final stage ensures that natural and artificial light work in perfect harmony.
-
Sensor Placement Strategy: Determining the optimal locations for daylight sensors to maximize energy savings.
-
Harvesting Logic: Defining how artificial lights should dim or switch in response to available daylight.
-
Final Performance Report: A comprehensive evidence-based document confirming the building’s biological health and energy efficiency standards.
OUR TEAM

FOUNDER | PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Graduating as the Valedictorian of his class in Interior Architecture from Istanbul Bilgi University, our founder initially honed his craft in prestigious interior design studios before identifying light as his ultimate medium of expression. This passion led him to pursue advanced academic research at Istanbul Technical University and further specialization at SUPSI in Mendrisio, Switzerland, where he focused on the profound impact of lighting design on residential environments.
Driven by a pursuit of excellence, he moved to Milan—the global epicenter of lighting design. There, he led high-profile retail and residential lighting projects within world-renowned Milanese design firms, mastering the balance between technical precision and Italian aesthetic sophistication.
Today, he leads Ween Lighting Design & Consultancy, applying his international expertise to diverse architectural typologies worldwide. From luxury residences and retail landmarks to dynamic office and educational spaces, he oversees every project with a dual focus: technical rigor and the human experience. Beyond artificial light, he provides expert consultancy in daylight and shading analysis, ensuring that architecture and nature remain in perfect harmony.
